Cook Legacy Intake Solutions
Cook Legacy Coating Company works with you to apply their knowledge of biology, environmental regulations, and screen technology to design, build, and implement a water intake solution for your site.
Cook Legacy intake technologies include passive intake screens, air burst screen cleaning systems, intake piping, and custom designed technology. These technologies can be provided separately or as a full intake system. Cook Legacy Intake Systems are designed for efficiency, safety, and flexibility.
Designed for Efficiency
Cook Legacy intake systems are not debris handling devices. They have none of the operating costs associated with mechanical screens, such as motors, maintenance, clean-up, and debris shipment.
Designed for Safety
Cook Legacy develops environmentally safe intake systems. The EPA Specifies fine-mesh wedgewire screen as a technology based solution for EPA 316(b) compliance. Passive screen technology was developed by Lee Cook in response to early fish protection regulations and clogging concerns. Cook Legacy intake systems employ fine slot width and flow modification to exclude aquatic organisms and other debris.
Designed for Flexibility
Other screening technologies require complex mechanical systems Cook Legacy intake screens can be completely submerged and positioned in a variety of locations, such as offshore or even in a bulkhead at the end of existing vertical traveling screen canals.
